Der erste Tourtag - endlich Motorradfahren. Nach einem tollen Frühstück bei Familie Mueller verstauen wir unser Gepäck auf den Motorrädern und starten um kurz nach neun.
Auf direktem Weg durchqueren wir das Rhonetal mit Sonnenschein und Tagestemperaturen bis 39° nach Satillieu um in den Cevennen die ersten tausend Meter hohen Berge mit den kurvigen Straßen unter die Räder zu nehmen. Wir befahren abseits der Hauptrouten eine wunderschöne Landschaft. Die oft schmalen Straßen sind leider nicht immer von guter Qualität, trotzdem haben wir um 19:20 Uhr ca. 330 km gefahren.
Bei Florac finden wir das Hotel le Rochefort mit drei freien Zimmern zur Übernachtung und Garagenstellplätze für die Motorräder. Leider gibt es kein Restaurant im Hotel oder in der Nähe, so verpflegen wir uns mit Bratwurst und Pommes am nahe gelegenen Campingplatz.
The first day of the tour - finally motorcycling. After a great breakfast with family Mueller we stow our luggage on the motorcycles and start shortly after nine.
On direct way we cross the Rhone valley with sunshine and daytime temperatures up to 39°C to Satillieu to take in the Cevennes the first thousand meters high mountains with the winding roads under the wheels. We drive off the main routes a beautiful landscape. The often narrow streets are unfortunately not always in good condition, but we drove at 19:20 clock about 330 km.
At Florac we find the Hotel le Rochefort with three free rooms for overnight stays and garage parking for the motorcycles. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant in the hotel or nearby, so we eat with grilled sausage and fries at the nearby campsite.
